I haven’t had much luck finding anything that would be a replacement and I don’t know if I still can get an actual direct replacement strap at this point, but even so I would much prefer a different material/clasp.Times Ticking began in 1983 as a retail store and repair center for watches and clocks. When I went to correct it, I found that the rubber had broken.Īs it turns out, this watch has a rather unique (to me) lug-less strap where the rubber sort of hooks into a ridge on the back plate that is then screwed into the main watch case and holds the strap in place. Honestly, its not and has never really been my style, and I hate the band it came on (rubber with butterfly clasp that would open on me constantly) but I did always get complements on it each of the handful of times I wore it and it has sentimental value.Ībout a year ago, I wore the watch to a friend’s birthday dinner, and at one point during the party I felt the watch go loose as usual, assuming it was the clasp again.
ROTARY WATCH STRAP REPLACEMENT SERIES
I just recently got a little into watch collecting after buying a Tissot Visodate last December, and between reading this community and watching TGV’s channel on YouTube, I have developed a little bit of a watch collecting hobby.ĭue to my new found interest, I have gotten the itch to make one of my very first mechanical watches, and first presents from my now wife useable again – a Rotary Editions Series 600. I have been following this group for 8 – 12 months now and have really enjoyed seeing people’s different watches, absorbing the expertise shared, and reading about all the different view-points and opinions shared.
